Description
The story of Vanderley Azevedo Artisanal Cachaça began in 1940, when Sérgio José de Araújo (Vanderley’s grandfather) came to the town of Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais, in search of diamonds. He later gave up the search for diamonds and set up a warehouse to sell food and drinks to the diamond mine workers and the city inhabitants. In 1968, his grandson Vanderley Azevedo began working with him in the warehouse, where he was responsible for bottling the cachaça.
In 1984, Vanderley Azevedo bought a farm to produce his own cachaça. Cachaça Vandeley Azevedo therefore has a 35-year tradition.
Even if he didn’t find any diamonds, Sérgio would be proud of the rarity that his grandson has created. A cachaca of unique quality with a great complexity of aromas and flavors; ironically, it is now more sought after in the region than diamonds.
Vanderley Azevendo Jequitibá Rosa is aged for 2 years in barrels made from Jequitibá Rosa, a tree native to Brazil. Light golden color. Delicate and fresh aromas with a hint of dried fruit. Feels soft and smooth with a hint of sweetness.
