Description
Cachaça Batista was founded in 1943 by José Batista de Oliveira in Minas Gerais. It soon became known in the region for its purity and high quality. In 1958, the famous star was added to the logo on the bottle. However, the production was discontinued in 1974.
On his 90th birthday, Mr. José Batista informed his son-in-law Marco Antônio that he wanted to revive his project. Marco Antônio accepted the challenge and, together with his son, built the new facilities at Fazenda Boa Sorte in 2008 in order to modernize the production techniques and maintain the 70-year-old tradition.
The Cachaça Batista Amburana ages for 1 year in Amburana barrels. It has a crystal clear golden yellow color and aroma with notes of honey, dried fruit and hints of smoke.
