Description
The Amburara distillery embodies the true meaning of self-sufficiency.
Located in the historic town of Inconfidentes, Minas Gerais, the Amburana distillery began producing cachacas due to the coffee crisis. The old farmhouse was converted to accommodate the production of one of the most special cachacas in the country. All cachacas are produced on the farm from sowing to bottling.
Amburana Pereira is made from sugar cane grown on the farm. It goes through a “caipira fermentation process”, also with corn planted on the property, and goes through an indirect fire distillation. It rests for at least 1 year in stainless steel barrels. It is then aged for 18 months in Pereira wooden barrels, which was made from a Pereira tree that was struck by lightning on the property. It has a gently woody on the palate, with low acidity and a subtle sweetness, accompanied by a delicate aroma. If you like something unique and authentic, you’ve just found it!
