Description
The Amburara distillery embodies the true meaning of self-sufficiency.
Located in the historic town of Inconfidentes, Minas Gerais, the Amburana distillery began producing cachaças due to the coffee crisis. The old farmhouse was converted to accommodate the production of one of the most special cachaças in the country. All cachaças are produced on the farm from sowing to bottling.
Amburana Castanheira is made from sugar cane grown on the farm. It goes through a “caipira fermentation process”, also with corn planted on the property, and goes through a indirect fire distillation. It rests for at least 1 year in stainless steel barrel and then it is aged for 18 months in Castanheira wooden barrels. It has an intense flavor, with balanced acidity and spicy notes, a crystal clear color and fruity aroma.
