Description
The history of Sete Engenhos Cachaça from Engenho São Miguel, where it is produced, is deep connected with the history of Brazil.
It combines more than 400 years of experience in sugar cane cultivation with sustainable production. 450 years ago, the ancestors of the founder of “Engenho São Miguel”, Haroldo Carneiro, took part in the founding of the city of Rio de Janeiro together with Estácio de Sá. Soon afterwards, they began producing sugar cane and cachaça on the Ilha dos Sete Engenhos, today known as “Ilha do Governador”.
Sete Engenhos is a masterpiece of the Brazilian art of distillation. It is made from fresh sugar cane juice. It is distilled in a copper potstill, were heads and tails of the distillation are discarded. Only the heart of the distillation will be used further.
This special edition is a blend aged for up to 6 years in 4 different woods: Carvalho (oak), Amburana, Balsam and Amendoim-Bravo. This blend, with a comprehensive profile, is achieved by combining 4 different woods.
An exotic touch with hints of cinnamon and lemon balm. A subtle sweetness is combined with the natural aroma of sugar cane. The bottle celebrates the 90th birthday of one of Brazil’s most famous places – the statue of Christ standing on top of the Corcovado mountain, embracing the city of Rio de Janeiro.
This bottle invites you to enjoy this drop of sunshine. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as an ingredient in refreshing cocktails, this cachaça is a must for connoisseurs and novices alike. Let yourself be enchanted by the authentic flavors of Brazil.
